The legendary Fort Field dominates the skyline at Samford and is the only one of its kind in Australia. Purpose built for a great game the Fort field never fails to live up to its well-earned reputation. This Fortress with its three levels of fighting platforms have to be seen to be believed. Photos do not do it justice!

The fortress has an elaborate system of defenses, trenches, towers, bunkers and 12’ walls combine to challenge teams. Games that can be played on this exciting field are many and varied, and limited only to our imagination. Players never seem to tire of the action and excitement of the Fort field.

Our Fortress is a professionally built structure built for you! Consisting of four high towers dominating the corners of the fort, with ramps feeding players up to landings, which lead up to the fighting platforms. 12’ High walls plus two further high towers linked by a high gangway, to protect the Fortress doors complete the inner defenses. A system of outer bunkers and trenches completely surround the Fortress making it one tough nut to crack.

But we didn’t stop there. Also on the Fort field we’ve added an Outpost which is another independent building complete with it’s own defenses and lookout tower. The Fort field has its own maze of trenches, with a few buildings, bunkers and barricades thrown in to keep it fast and furious.

Lots of fields claim to have a fort but here at Skirmish Samford we have “THE FORTRESS”.
